Traceability has become an indispensable part of manufacturing; every component must be traceable. To make this possible, each product must be clearly marked. Various methods are available for this purpose:
- With a label feeder in the pick-and-place machine
- At the beginning of the line with a label cell
- At the beginning of the line with a laser cell
All of the above solutions stand for precise and automatic labelling. If a continuous traceability from the beginning of the production line is required, this can be realised with a label or laser cell. If, however, marking in the pick-and-place machine is sufficient, the label feeder offers a comparatively inexpensive and simple solution.
